What is Hawk-Seal-E?

Hawk-Seal-E was developed in the early 90’s to address the ever increasing problem of asphalt surface failures. It is being used by public works departments as an important weapon in their arsenal to fight asphalt deterioration. Hawk-Seal-E is becoming the weapon of choice in the battle for pavement preservation.

Hawk-Seal-E treats asphalt by penetrating into and waterproofing the asphalt binder and by significantly increasing the adhesion of exposed aggregate to the binder. Hawk-Seal-E also contain UV inhibitors.

This is accomplished with a unique formulation of naphthenic emulsion and co-polymers. Asphalt is 5% binder and 95% aggregate. The binder is what holds the asphalt together. Save the surface binder, save the surface. Hawk-Seal-E saves the surface binder. The naphthenic emulsion in Hawk-Seal-E is drawn into the binder. This is what has been lost due to age and oxidation. It waterproofs and adds UV protection. The co-polymers add strength.

After treatment, the surface is waterproof, surface voids are filled, surface cracks are sealed and damage caused by water and oxidation is significantly reduced.

Hawk-Seal-E will extend the working life of asphalt and chip seal surfaces while reducing annual maintenance costs. Hawk-Seal-E Is a true, asphalt and chip seal maintenance treatment.

In order to save big budget dollars, an economical preventive maintenance program is a must. It is simply too expensive to invest your budget dollars in a continuous cycle of spot repairs (potholes, crack-filling, replacing sections) after which the overall surface has deteriorated to such a degree that it now needs to be replaced with a new overlay.

Hawk-Seal-E interrupts the costly cycle of overlay/repair/overlay. For every year that an overlay is delayed and maintenance expenses reduced --- big budget dollars are made available for other projects.

If you just get Hawk-Seal-E into an asphalt or chip seal surface, it will do the rest!
