A surface protected by Hawk-Seal-E will make it through the winter.
Snow removal equipment will not remove Hawk-Seal-E from the surface because Hawk-Seal-E is in the surface!
A city engineer says: “In the fall of 2002, we had a contractor pave a subdivision. His paving work was about the worst I have seen. By looking at the roller marks, some areas were never compacted. "We were concerned that the water would penetrate the pavement and base, freeze during the winter, and come all to pieces. "The Contractor wanted to apply an asphalt fog seal. I elected to use Hawk-Seal-E. The normal procedure is to make 3 applications with a distributor truck. In several sections, they had to make 6 applications before the mixture stopped disappearing into the pavement. We went through a hard winter last year. They have now built several houses in the subdivision, and there is not a single failure in the pavement." |
